I grew up eating sausage balls and have always loved them. They are a great appetizer for parties or just for snacking. Ingredients: ~ 1-pound of ground sausage ( I prefer Neese’s sausage, but you can use whatever brand you like) ~ 1/3 cup of flour ~ 1-1/2 to 2 cups of cheese Directions: ~… Continue reading Sausage Balls
Here in the South, macaroni and cheese is a staple side dish. This baked macaroni, or “macaroni pie” as we call it here in the South, is a great side dish for holiday dinners and is so cheesy and delicious. Ingredients: ~ 2 cups of elbow macaroni, cooked and drained ~ 2 cups of milk… Continue reading Southern Style Macaroni Pie
I know, I know, it’s been a while since I’ve posted and I promised this recipe soon after posting the Chicken Parmesan recipe. I have been so busy because of Thanksgiving and Christmas, working from home, and being pregnant on top of it, it’s just been pretty hectic around here. Anyways, this recipe is a… Continue reading Homemade Alfredo Sauce (Copycat Olive Garden Recipe)
This second recipe is actually my husband’s recipe, but it is so good that it has to be shared. These pancakes come out so fluffy and buttery and are so delicious! We used self-rising flour for this recipe as we do for all recipes, but I will include measurements for those using all-purpose flour. Ingredients:… Continue reading Old Fashioned Pancakes
I am little late on sharing this first recipe, but being a work-from-home mom, it is hard to find time to do anything but work. Anyways, here is my recipe for crock pot beef stew. I also forgot to add salt and pepper to the ingredients picture so be sure to add those to your… Continue reading Crock Pot Beef Stew
Hello, everyone. This is the first blog post here, and I want to tell you a little bit about what this blog is going to feature. First, let me tell you a little about myself. I am a wife and mom. I’ve been married to my wonderful husband for 9 years now, and we have a 9-year-old daughter. We also have a baby boy due in March 2017.
When we first got married, I didn’t do much cooking beyond boiling noodles and cooking a grilled cheese sandwich. Most of my cooking skills are from watching my parents when I was growing up and a lot of it is self-taught. I find recipes that I want to try and tweak them to my liking. I have tons of good recipes that I have tried and decided that a good way of sharing them would be to start a blog.
This blog will feature mostly recipes with photos and instructions, but may also feature kitchen gadgets that I really love with links where you can find those products. I will try to post as often as I can, maybe twice a week at first, and then once I get the hang of it, I may start posting more often than that.
I really hope y’all will like this blog and try out my recipes. Keep a lookout for the first recipe post coming soon. 🙂
